OUR
MISSION

Our mission is steadfast and clear: to advocate for the safety and security of our communities by working to secure our southern border.

We are committed to supporting state lawmakers who prioritize and legislate toward securing our borders, understanding that a secure border is fundamental to the safety and prosperity of our state and nation. We believe that by supporting legislators who fight to secure our border now, we can contribute to a safer, more secure future for our citizens and the generations to come.

The state of Texas has significantly ramped up border security funding.
Total spending is more than $11 billion since 2021.

Key border security spending includes:

  • 2024–2025 Budget: More than $5 billion was allocated for the two-year period, focusing on the Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Texas Military Department.

  • Texas lawmakers budgeted $3 billion for additional border security. Texas anticipates $13 billion border reimbursement coming from the Trump Administration to pay Texas back for Operation Lone Star costs from the last several years.

  • Key Expenditures: Funds cover personnel costs for the Texas National Guard and DPS, construction of border wall barriers, and technology, such as drones and cameras.

  • Emergency Transfers: Due to high costs, the state frequently transfers funds to sustain Operation Lone Star, including diverting money from other departments.
